For the yarn, we used 5ply Milk Cotton Yarn for all colors but this pattern works with any yarn and hook of your choice.
Note that this project is worked in rounds and can be done with or without the slip stitch and chain 1 at the start and end of each round.

Pro Tip: to indent the eyes and to highlight its cheeks, sew a small line underneath each of the safety eyes using 1 piece of body color yarn. Pull it tight and tie in a knot inside.

CH10 for the strap then FO. You will sew this on later to the front panel.

assembly

Stuff and sew the nose between R10 and R14, 1 stitch away from the eyes at both sides.

Flatten, don't stuff the ears then sew lines to form a white triangle in the ear. Sew the ears on the top of the head.

Before sewing the straps of the jumper, sew the head onto the body first. Then sew on the arms at either side of the body.

Sew on the straps of the jumper to the corresponding side of the jumper.
